Any found item is up for grabs if it can be secured to a page, or it may even become the page! The hand crafted book or journal is an all time favourite for collectors of ephemera (written or printed memorabilia), collage and stamp enthusiasts, photographers and collectors in general. Tampering with printed matter such as the use of art stamps, creates further visual interest. Lovely hand made papers add colour and texture. Books can be as personal as you care to make them. Journal books are made with many 'blank' pages for writing your thoughts or used more as a diary.

Handcrafted books may be held comfortably in the hand allowing the audience to connect with them due to their small scale. Select from a soft cover of wool, felt or velvet with lots of thread detail. See image of the 'Labyrinth' book made for a special birthday gift. Special to Louisa because her home entranceway design has a very beautiful labyrinth her and friends regularly walk. See also image of a larger 'MBTI' book made for Colin. This is compiled with pages made by fellow MBTI members, and the cover reflects the 16 personality types they understand and work with. The 'tiki' book was stitched for a travelling USA visitor and now contains memorabilia and mementos of her 3 week holiday in New Zealand.
